February 21 Guided tour and eels for lunch in San Pedro del Pinatar!

A great opportunity for those who miss the taste of eels!

It’s only a couple of weeks since 70 European eels were released into the Mar Menor in an effort to boost the flagging population in the lagoon, but the fishermen and gastronomes of San Pedro del Pinatar are obviously keen to continue enjoying the presence of the species by eating it as a tasty delicacy!

The Museo del Mar and the guild of fishermen are organizing this guided tour on Saturday 21^st February taking in visits to the Museo del Mar (where the route starts), the Museo Barón de Benifayó and a plate of eels in Restaurante El Castillo, starting at 11.00. The cost of registration is just 5 euros per head (book your place by telephone on 606 120842), an absolute bargain for those who enjoy the taste of eels!
