Take part in this free medium-high difficulty walking trail in central Murcia’s El Valle Perdido natural park
El Valle Perdido in Sierra Espuña is a natural woodland area within the regional park in the mountains, and is also home to trenches and shelters which were created during the Spanish Civil War as part of a last-ditch defensive network.
This 6-kilometre walk, entitled "Las Trincheras del Valle Perdido", includes visits to some of these sites and explanations of their role in history, and is described as being of medium-high difficulty. It is not suitable for children under 12.
The event begins at 10.00 and is expected to last around 3 hours, with registration opening at 9.30 on February 2 online here.
