If you're looking for something special to do in the run-up to Christmas, the Villa de Alhama Folkloric Group has organised a charity festival that promises to be a lovely evening of traditional music and festive cheer in Alhama de Murcia.

 

Taking place on Saturday December 20 at 7pm in the Velasco Theatre, the event is raising money for two brilliant local groups, the Spanish Association Against Cancer and the Lourdes Hospitality.

 

The evening itself will be packed with entertainment including Murcian folk music, Christmas carols, traditional improvised verse and plenty of traditional dances.

 

Tickets are just €5 and can be picked up from several places around town including the AECC offices, the Lourdes Hospitality Centre, the Villa de Alhama Folkloric Group itself or the Butano store in Alhama.

If you can't make it on the night but still want to support the cause, there's a "zero row" option available at the same price where you can donate without actually attending.
