Day trips, concerts, carnivals and more next January and February with Taquilla Tickets
Get the new year off to the best start with exciting outings throughout Murcia and Alicante

Once the excitement of Christmas is over, January and February can feel like they're dragging their heels a bit. But it doesn't have to be that way. Taquilla Tickets has lined up a cracking selection of trips and experiences to keep things interesting well into the new year.
Sally and Nigel, the husband and wife team behind this popular family-run business, along with Julie (who joined the team in May 2023), have been organising day trips, concerts and cultural events for the English-speaking community in the Region of Murcia for more than six years now. Their latest line-up for January and February has something for everyone, whether you fancy a brewery tour, a famous musical, a peaceful sanctuary visit or the biggest carnival of the year.
Estrella brewery tour & tasting – Tuesday January 27

This one's been requested by loads of customers, so Taquilla Tickets are finally making it happen. You'll get a tour around the Estrella factory followed by a tasting of the world famous beer. The name means "star" in Spanish and this brand certainly shines bright as one of the biggest sellers in the country.
After the brewery visit, you'll be dropped into Murcia city centre where you can enjoy the afternoon with some lunch, perhaps visit the cathedral, or just sit back and relax with tapas and a drink.
Price: Adult €50 / T&G club member €45
Includes:
- Return coach travel
- Entrance to the brewery with guided tour & tasting
- Transfer to Murcia for free time
- Accompanied by Taquilla Tickets - Public Liability Insurance
Mamma Mia! The Musical at Teatro Principal, Alicante – Thursday February 5

Twenty-five years after its London premiere, Mamma Mia! remains one of the biggest theatrical phenomena ever seen. In Spain, the musical has been a resounding success since 2004 with more than 2,000 performances under its belt.
The story follows Donna, a single independent mother running a small hotel on an idyllic Greek island with her daughter Sophie. When Sophie reads her mother's diary, she works out she could have one of three possible fathers and invites them all to her wedding along with her mother's two best friends. Chaos is guaranteed.
The soundtrack features absolute ABBA classics including Dancing Queen, Voulez Vous, SOS, Super Trouper, Thank You for the Music and Gimme, Gimme, Gimme. Bring your singing voice and your dancing shoes to this fabulous performance.
Various seating options are available, so contact Taquilla Tickets for pricing and the seating plan.
Calasparra and Sanctuary day trip – Wednesday February 11

After the brilliant success and fantastic feedback from previous trips here, Sally, Nigel and Julia are doing it again, this time adding in a delicious three-course meal at the Sanctuary Restaurant.
The day kicks off in the town of Calasparra where you'll have free time to explore. The town is famous for its rice growing, which you can learn about at the museum, and the rice is a huge part of local gastronomy as it's grown on the banks of the River Segura.
Then it's back on the coach to head to the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Hope, which is carved into the rock and dates back to the 17th century. You'll have time to soak up the peace and tranquillity before enjoying a delicious three-course Menu del Dia, created specially by Restaurante Santuario.
Price: Adult €70 / T&G club member €67.50
Includes:
- Return coach travel
- Transfer to Santuario de la Esperanza
- 3 course Menu del Dia including selected wines, beer, soft drinks, water & coffee
- Accompanied by Taquilla Tickets
