Getting to grips with new technology can feel daunting at any age, but the residents at Caser Residencial Málaga are proving that determination and a good teacher can work wonders.

 

Thanks to a specially designed course run by IMSERSO, residents have been mastering everything from sharing their location in real time and changing background photos to customising their home screens and tightening up their privacy settings.

 

The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Participants were delighted with how useful the training proved to be and many people developed a newfound digital confidence.

 

The Caser team believes that we’re never too old to learn and technology can be an incredibly powerful tool for staying connected, discovering new things and maintaining independence throughout every stage of life.

 

That belief drove the organisation to partner with the Integra Digital Foundation over the summer, welcoming them into their Santo Ángel centre in Murcia and their Alameda facility in Lorca for a special training initiative backed by European Next Generation funds.

 

The sessions were part of the Applícate project, an innovative programme designed to help older adults overcome the digital divide. Residents took part in personalised lessons that guided them through both basic and more advanced digital skills.

 

Caser Residencial dedicates itself to supporting elderly and dependent adults who might need rehabilitation support, assistance adjusting to a new chapter in their lives or simply want to enhance their overall quality of life.
