Can Spain face England in the Euro 2024? Predictions and odds
There could be a Spain vs England final in the Euros this year...
Spain is one of the main favourites to win the UEFA Euro 2024. This national team has a very strong team that is capable of dominating every match. Its squad features the perfect mix of highly experienced players and youngsters who are willing to prove their worth.
But, Spain isn’t the only national team capable of winning the Euro 2024. Among its biggest competitors is England with its mighty squad that's ready to bring football home. But what is the possibility of Spain and England facing each other in the Euro 2024?
When and how can Spain and England meet at the Euro 2024?
Spain can face England in the Euro 2024, but there are certain scenarios that need to take place. There are a total of nine different scenarios for these national teams to meet at any of the four knockout stages.
If both Spain and England finish on top of their groups, then they can only meet in the Euro final. The same will happen if Spain is first in the group stage and England progresses through as a 3rd placed team. But, the 3rd teams from groups A, B, and D must also progress for this to happen.
Spain can also meet England in the quarter-finals. This can happen if Spain tops its group and England finishes as a runner-up. Or, if England becomes the winner of Group C and Spain ends up as the second-placed team in Group B.
In the scenario of Spain ending the group stage as the 3rd-placed team then it can meet England in the semi-finals. But, England must either be the winner or the runner-up of its group. Finally, if both teams end up in the 3rd spot, then they can only meet in the final.
The predictions indicate that both Spain and England will progress to the knockout stage as winners. If this scenario occurs, then many fans hope to see them face each other in the final, which is to be held on July 14, 2024.
There are many variations in place that can decide whether these two favourites can face each other in this competition. Fans and bettors make their own predictions if any of the mentioned scenarios can happen. Some of them even use

The odds for Spain or England winning the Euro 2024
According to football experts and bookmakers, 6 or 7 national teams have the best chances of winning the UEFA Euro 2024. Among them are, of course, Spain and England.
Spain is after its record 4th title while England is chasing its very first trophy in this European football competition. Despite these major historical differences, bookmakers give England better odds of winning. The odds at most of them go between 3/1 and 4/1.
On the other hand, the same bookmakers give Spain odds of between 6/2 and 13/2. This means that England has almost double the chance to win the Euro than England.
But, according to the first games played by both national teams, some start to believe that these odds aren't realistic. Spain managed to win 3-0 against Croatia. Just as a reminder, Croatia was the runner-up in the 2018 World Cup and the third-placed team at the 2022 World Cup.
On the other hand, England didn't perform as everyone expected from them. They won their first Euro match against Serbia with 0-1. The players managed only seven shots, two of which were on goal.
It's still too early to judge based on one game, as anything can happen over the course of the next weeks. For example, Argentina lost their opening match to Saudi Arabia and ended up winning the 2022 World Cup.
England is an enormous pressure as they have a lot to prove. They once again feature an incredible squad depth that consists of some of the best players in the world.
Football fans and experts believe that the Spanish squad is far away from the quality they had not long ago. They believe that players like Lamine Yamal, Pedri and some others are too young to cope with the pressure.
But, these wonderkids are proving them wrong match after match with their incredible performances. Both of them assisted one goal each against Croatia and are looking forward to the upcoming matches.
