British woman run over in Los Narejos leaves the ICU

The British woman who was admitted to the Virgen de La Arrixaca hospital last Tuesday, July 9, after being
run over in Los Narejos (Los Alcázares) is now out of the Intensive Care Unit, according to sources of the Regional Ministry of Health.
The injured woman, aged 48, is now on the ward and remains in stable condition.
Her husband, aged 50, who was with her at the time of the accident, died from his injuries after being transferred to the same hospital.
The driver, who was driving without a licence, was subjected to a breathalyser test and was found to be three times the maximum permitted limit at the wheel (0.84).
The incident took place at 11.06pm, just outside the Costa Narejos hotel where the couple was returning to the staying. Just as they were crossing the road, the car hit them and fled the scene.
