August 9 Free concert by The Caminero Trío & David Carpio in the Mazarron Rejazz Festival
Top flamenco jazz at the 2024 al fresco Mares de Papel season in Puerto de Mazarrón
Pablo Martín Caminero is one of the leading lights in the field of jazz and flamenco fusion and his incredible talents have allowed him to play with stars such as Jorge Pardo, Gerardo Núñez, Chano Domínguez, Niño Josele and Rosario “La Tremendita”, among others.
At the Rejazz season in Puerto de Mazarrón he is presenting his latest Project, “Florilegio”, in which he alters the balance between flamenco and jazz by adding a flamenco “cantaor” (vocalist), David Carpio. The two men are great friends as well as great musicians, and their work achieves an entirely natural sound: enjoy this most Spanish of evenings on the penultimate night of the ReJazz season!
Line-up
Pablo Martín Caminero (double bass and compositions)
David Carpio (flamenco vocals)
Daniel García Diego (piano)
Shayan Fathi (percussion)
The show on Friday August 9th begins at 22.00 at the headland of El Castellar, at the western end of Playa de Bahía (click for map).
Note: all events in the Mares de Papel season are free of charge, with no need for prior booking. However, space is limited and an early arrival is recommended, especially in the case of the popular ReJazz events: entry is permitted from half an hour before the advertised start time.
No further admissions will be allowed 15 minutes after the events start. Once inside, eating, drinking and smoking are not permitted, and pets are not allowed to enter.
