August 8, 17 and 31, Stargazing in Caravaca: cheese and wine tasting by moonlight in La Encarnación
Cata Bajo las Estrellas at the remarkable archaeological complex in the countryside of Caravaca
One of the “Jubilee Experiences” available during the Holy Jubilee Year of 2024 in Caravaca de la Cruz is this activity entitled “Cata Bajo las Estrellas”, which is being held on August 8 and 17 at 20.30 and on August 31 at 20.00 at the amazing archaeological site of La Encarnación, in the heart of the countryside where the skies are among the clearest in the Region of Murcia.
This is a chance to observe, under the supervision of the team from Astroversia, the Perseid meteor shower, and also to taste cheeses produced in the Region of Murcia and the naturally produced “La del Terreno” (under the guidance of oenologist Julia Casado). The staff of Astroversia supply telescopes and help explain the numerous constellations, the Moon and Saturn, as well as the “Tears of San Lorenzo” (the shooting stars of the Perseids).
Due to the alcohol consumption this activity is not appropriate for under-18s, and group sizes are limited. Prior registration is required here at a cost of 35 euros per head, well worth it for an unforgettable experience on the high ground of the north-west of Murcia!
Further information is also available by email from hola@astroversia.com.
