A look behind the scenes of the Easter Week celebrations in Alhama de Murcia
This free guided tour in Alhama de Murcia takes participants inside the world and the history of the Semana Santa (Easter Week) processions in the town and includes a tour of the church of San Lázaro Obispo and the homes of some of the brotherhoods who take part in the processions every year.
Insights are offered into the preparation for the highly choreographed processions, the religious images and figures which are carried through the streets and various other aspects of the events in Alhama over Easter, which have been awarded Regional Tourist Interest status.

On April 5 the brotherhoods visited are the Paso Colorao, the Paso Negro and the Paso Blanco: comfortable walking shoes are recommended as the journey from the church to the brotherhoods is on foot.
