April 25 Neckerchief Day in Caravaca de la Cruz!

Just a few days to go before the annual Caravaca fiestas begin in earnest!

One of the many traditions during the run-up to the May Fiestas of the True Cross in Caravaca de la Cruz is that on the last Saturday before the “Día de las Migas” the brotherhood of the Caballos del Vino hold the “Día del Pañuelo”, or the day of the neckerchief, in reference to the characteristic attire worn by members to display their allegiance.

This year the event falls on 25^th April and the celebrations in the Glorieta begin at 11.45 with tapas and beers. Later in the afternoon at 17.00 coffee is served outside the Dulcinea café-bar in the Gran Vía.
