April 10 to 26 Rural gastronomy route in the villages of western Cartagena
Traditional favourites at bars and restaurants in Tallante, Canteras, La Magdalena, Perín, Galifa, Molinos Marfagones and El Portús
The efforts of the Town Hall of Cartagena to make the villages of the west of the municipality feel that they are not forgotten have resulted in the holding of a gastronomy route in areas such as Canteras, La Magdalena, Perín, Galifa y El Portús during the fortnight between 10th and 26th April 2026.
During the event a total of 10 bars and restaurants will be offering traditional country fare to those who fancy a bite to eat, the participants being El Buen Descanso (Tallante), Casa Ramírez e Isabelita (Galifa), Café Bar Comercial Ana (Cuesta Blanca), Venta El Huevo (on the mountain road from Canteras to La Azohía), Bar Moreno (canteras), La Cantina de Perín, Cantina Asociación Vecinos Galifa, Venta D'Paso (Molinos Marfagones), Venta La Muela (El Portús) and Restaurante Tramonti (El Portús). The prices of the dishes featured range from the 3 euros for a portion of potatoes with garlic mayonnaise at eh neighbours’ association in Canteras in the to the 20 euros for the oxtail prepared at the Buen Descanso: for full details click here.
As usual with these events, there are prizes available for customers taking part, voting for the best dish and submitting photos via WhatsApp, with the qualifying bar for the prize draw set at 6 dishes over the 16 days of the event.
