Cloud and rain persist through the week alongside strong coastal gusts and frosty eastern highlands
After yesterday's school closures across parts of Andalucía due to severe weather, the region faces another unsettled few days. Expect persistent cloud, frequent rain and powerful westerly winds, particularly along the coasts and higher ground.Thursday January 29
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday January 29Very cloudy or overcast skies bring widespread moderate rain, turning locally heavy and persistent over the mountain ranges and Atlantic slopes, though lighter in the far east. Overnight temperatures rise sharply, feeling milder first thing, while daytime highs stay steady or lift along the Mediterranean coast around Málaga. Westerly winds blow moderate inland but strengthen to strong along the coasts and higher elevations, with very strong gusts under orange wind warnings in Cádiz, Granada and Almería.

Some sunshine will break through in the far east of the region. Night-time temperatures dip and daytime values hold steady or fall slightly. Westerly winds stay light to moderate inland and moderate along the coast, with very strong gusts continuing in the eastern third where the orange wind alert remains for Almería.

Night-time temperatures rise in the west but stay similar elsewhere, while daytime highs climb. Light frost persists in eastern highlands. Southwesterly winds blow light to moderate along the Atlantic but turn light and variable on the Mediterranean side near Tarifa.
Andalucía stays unsettled through the weekend with rain and coastal winds continuing, though rising temperatures bring some midwinter mildness by Sunday.
