Alicante's multi-lingual Tourist Bus returns for 2025
Explore Alicante City for just €10 for adults and €5 for children
The popular Alicante Tourist Bus is back for the 2025 season, offering an even better experience for those eager to explore the city’s stunning sights and rich history.
With multilingual guided tours in six languages (Spanish, Valencian, English, French, German and Italian), passengers can enjoy an informative and fun-filled journey with comfortable headphone narration.
This 70-seater, double-decker bus is designed to accommodate all travellers, including those with reduced mobility, ensuring that everyone can take part in the adventure.
This year, the season kicked off earlier than ever, with the first tours rolling out on Wednesday March 19, perfectly timed to coincide with the San José holiday and Father’s Day celebrations. Daily tours will run until December 8, offering visitors plenty of opportunities to hop on board.
The circular route, which lasts around an hour, includes 11 key stops at Alicante’s most iconic landmarks. With a budget-friendly price of just €5 for children, €10 for adults and €7 for seniors, it’s an unbeatable way to see the city.
Passengers can hop on and off freely throughout the day, making it easy to explore, shop and soak up the atmosphere Alicante is famous for. The bus also connects with urban and interurban bus lines as well as the Tram.
The first tour departs at 10am, with additional departures at 11am, 12pm and 1pm, followed by another stint at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm in the afternoons. The bus operates seven days a week.
Here are some of the highlights on the Alicante Tourist Bus route:
- Santa Barbara Castle (via the Postiguet beach lift)
- Provincial Archaeological Museum (MARQ), with shuttle access to the fortress
- La Rambla, for shopping in Alicante’s traditional centre
- Alicante Old Town, including City Hall, San Nicolás Cathedral & Santa María Basilica
- Central Market, near the Teatro Principal
- Plaza de los Luceros, Federico Soto & Maisonnave for shopping and dining
- Alicante Bus Station, close to historic air-raid shelters
- The Port, featuring the Ocean Race Village Museum
This earlier launch is part of a new agreement between Alicante City Council and Vectalia MIA, aiming to enhance services for tourists and make their stay even more enjoyable. The change comes as Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport welcomes more international visitors and the cruise season gets underway.
Tourist interest in Alicante is booming. In 2024, passenger numbers on the Tourist Bus increased by 5%, with 31,125 people using the service - up from 29,713 in 2023.
