Águilas Town Council has introduced a new mobile application service, Línea Verde (Green Line), allowing residents to report local incidents directly from their smartphones. By joining over 600 municipalities across Spain already using the platform, Águilas is strengthening communication between the Council and its citizens.

 

The Línea Verde app is available to download for free via Google Play or the App Store. After selecting Águilas as their municipality, users can report problems by simply tapping the ‘New Incident’ button, selecting the issue type, attaching a photo and submitting the report. The app automatically records the location and keeps users informed about the status of their submission.

 

In addition to reporting damage or defects in public spaces, users can submit environmental queries and receive expert advice within 24 hours. The app also allows the Council to send real-time notifications about important local matters to residents who opt in.

 

The Town Council is encouraging the public to use the service, aiming to foster greater citizen participation and ensure the town better reflects the needs and wellbeing of its community.
