Águilas instals awnings along the seafront Blue Trail

Respite from the summer sun for those walking along the Águilas coastline this summer

The Town Hall of Águilas has completed work to install awnings at two points located along the “12.000 Pasos Tres Bahías” Blue Trail, which runs along the spectacular coastline and seafront in the urban area, providing respite from the sun for those walking the route during the hot summer months.

The locations of the toldos are the children’s play area in the Barrio Colón district, where very resistant triangular polythene sheeting has been installed and held in place with metal masts in order to withstand the wind, and the viewing point of Puerta del Castillo, where three more large triangles block out the direct sunlight without spoiling the panoramic vistas out of the bay.

The budget for these awnings amounted to 62,833 euros.
